About Biogents
Biogents was founded in 2002 by Dr. Martin Geier and Andreas Rose in Regensburg, Germany. It took these two passionate researchers over twelve years to deeply understand mosquito behavior, analyze which scents attract them, and develop methods to influence their behavior.
Since the start, our team has been driven by a clear belief: that solving the mosquito problem requires effective and sustainable solutions based on scientifically proven methods and data.
20 years of innovation in mosquito control
For over 20 years, we at Biogents have been developing innovative and advanced mosquito traps with results that redefine how effective mosquito control can be.
By combining research, technology and a deep understanding of mosquito behavior, we created solutions that work in practice – for both private individuals and professional users.
2002 – The company was founded
2006 – The first Biogents trap was launched for researchers and scientists
2013 – Biogents was launched in retail in France and quickly became the market leader
2026 – AERO TRAP is launched – a new generation of mosquito traps for end users
