Yes, by combining a patented scent with carbon dioxide (CO2), this mosquito trap mimics a human so effectively that it attracts all commonly occurring mosquito species.

You will notice an immediate effect when the trap starts catching active mosquitoes. After approximately two weeks of continuous operation, the mosquito life cycle is broken, leading to a drastic reduction in the population as fewer new eggs are laid. Results may vary depending on local weather conditions and temperature.

In a warm (preferably humid) and shady area near any vegetation as this is where mosquitoes rest during the day.
The mosquito trap should be protected from the wind and sun, as mosquitoes are less active in these climatic conditions.
Place the mosquito trap more than 5 meters from your terrace to avoid mosquitoes entering your personal space.
The product should be placed on the ground, as mosquitoes tend to fly low. Biogents AERO TRAP PLUS is also water resistant.

The Biogents AERO TRAP is compatible with all CO2 cylinders. We typically recommend a 5 kg or 10 kg CO2 cylinder for long-lasting use in your garden, but you can also use a 425 g CO2 cylinder (screw-thread only), which is easily found in grocery stores and other retailers such as Clas Ohlson, Elgiganten, Power, Rusta, ÖoB, and others.

Depending on the programmed CO2 release intervals in your MyBiogents app, a 10 kg cylinder can last up to 2 months, while a 425 g cylinder is more practical for temporary boosts—for example, during weekends—lasting up to 3 days.

If you choose 425 g CO2 cylinders, you can easily purchase them at any grocery store in Sweden (as well as other major retailers). Don’t forget that only the screw-thread model is compatible with the Biogents AERO TRAP.

Larger cylinders are harder to find, although some local stores may carry them.

The amount of CO2 released per day is equivalent to the amount a small child exhales in a day. CO2 is colorless, tasteless, non-flammable, and has a very faint acidic odor. It is recycled from industrial production units, so its use as a mosquito attractant does not contribute to additional emissions of harmful CO2 to the planet; instead, it is simply a delayed release of recycled CO2 (industrial waste).

Carbon dioxide must always be handled safely, but if used strictly outdoors according to the recommendations, there should be no risk to you or the environment.

A CO2 cylinder should always be placed vertically, ensuring that it cannot fall. Please refer to your supplier’s instructions.

Placement is crucial for the trap’s effectiveness! The best location to set up the Biogents Aero Trap Plus is in a shady, humid spot sheltered from wind and sun. Place the trap on the ground near vegetation, where mosquitoes tend to rest and breed. To find the optimal spot and achieve the highest capture rate, try different locations—just a few meters can make a significant difference.
